Miss Sixty: una rilettura contemporanea degli eclettici Seventies.

Sfogliare un vecchio album di foto e tuffarsi qualche decennio fa, nell’epoca dell’incertezza, delle lotte pacifiste, dell’obiezione di coscienza, della libertà sessuale, dei diritti strappati e gridati, della piccola borghesia sfiduciata. Potrebbe essere tutto questo ciò che ha ispirato i creatori del mitico brand Miss Sixty per questo inverno 2011-2012, interpretando le molteplici sfaccettature dello stile che fu, dall’anti-fashion all’inclinazione folk tipica della Westwood alle ispirazioni date dalla minimal art: il concetto, l’idea, è più importante dell’opera, perciò la forma stessa si traduce in qualcosa di “minimale”, in contrapposizione al consumismo e all’attenzione per il particolare tipici della pop art, riducendo l’arte in elementi essenziali, forme geometriche ed elementari, a metà tra architettura e figurazione. Ed ecco che prendono vita abiti dalle linee pulite, che fasciano e allo stesso tempo distorgono la figura, come i mitici pantaloni scampanati, meglio conosciuti come “a zampa d’elefante”. L’inclinazione folk spazia dalle maglie oversize a una rivisitazione della pelliccia in perfetto stile easy chic (ed eco-friendly), marrone a collo alto, stretta in vita e a manto striato, o più grintosa, in tonalità verde acido o voluminosa con sfumature bianche e nere. Una moda eclettica e funzionale, naturale e informale. Negli anni ’70 l’universo del fashion era più che mai visto come uno dei sistemi imposti dalla società industrializzata per limitare la libertà, in un clima in cui i giovani contestatori avevano già contribuito ad una rivoluzione nella moda e ne erano diventati i protagonisti, slegati da vincoli e costrizioni. Perciò la moda non aveva più alcun principio fisso, nasceva spontaneamente dall’iniziativa personale, dal “fai da te”, dal piacere di mescolare tutto perché tutto era permesso, purchè si creasse un’alternativa estetica,  il riflesso di una ricerca e di una speranza verso un’alternativa sociale. Il grande sarto non era più il dittatore della moda: magari un giorno, neanche i vizi e i consumi della politica sarebbero stati i dittatori delle masse? Sta di fatto che molti grandi atelier chiusero, e quelli che sopravvissero crearono delle linee prêt-à-porter. Il capo simbolo ovviamente fu il jeans, indossato da uomini e donne di tutte le classi sociali e in qualsiasi occasione, una sorta di sintesi di tutti gli ideali di uguaglianza e libertà diffusi con fervore per un ventennio. Miss Sixty ha ben selezionato alcuni degli elementi “storici” che hanno contributo ad una svolta nelle tendenze a partire da fine anni ‘60, mantenendo continuamente l’attenzione sugli elementi chiave di un vestiario che è tutto fuorchè vuoto di contenuti e femminilità: tante le novità e le sperimentazioni, in cui spiccano i mix di tele denim caratterizzati da lavaggi vintage e le nuances che creano un particolare effetto a righe, i modelli a palazzo e la camicia in denim con cuciture e bottoni oro a contrasto. Ovviamente non mancano gli accessori, anch’essi realizzati in denim: un gioco di stile che conquista, in armonia con il look naturale e un po’ hippy, decisamente Seventies, tanto nei colori quanto nei materiali.

Miss Sixty: a contemporary reinterpretation of eclectic Seventies.

Browse through an old photo album and dive a few decades ago, in an era of uncertainty, the struggles pacifist, conscientious objection, freedom of sexual rights and torn shouted, distrustful of the petty bourgeoisie. Could this be what inspired the creators of the legendary brand Miss Sixty for this winter 2011-2012, by interpreting the many facets of the style that was, from anti-tilt folk fashion typical of Westwood to the inspirations given by the minimal art: the concept, the idea is more important than work, so the form itself is translated into something "minimal", as opposed to consumerism and the attention to detail typical of pop art, reducing art in essentials , geometric shapes and primary, halfway between architecture and figuration. And here come to life clothing with clean lines that wrap around and at the same time distort the figure, as the legendary flared trousers, better known as "flared". The slope ranges from folk to a reinterpretation of the mesh oversize fur chic style easy (and eco-friendly), brown turtleneck, tight at the waist coat and striped, or more aggressive, in shades of lime green with shades of white or bulky and black. An eclectic fashionable and functional, natural and informal. In the 70s the world of fashion more than ever was seen as a system imposed by industrialized society to limit freedom, in a climate in which young protesters had already contributed to a revolution in fashion and had become the protagonists, disconnected from ties and constraints. So fashion was no longer any fixed principle, the initiative arose spontaneously staff, from the "DIY", from pleasure to mix everything because everything was permitted, as long as it would create an alternative aesthetic, the reflection of a search and ahope for an alternative society. The great tailor was no longer the dictator of fashion: perhaps one day even the vices of politics and consumption would be the dictators of the masses? The fact is that many large studios closed, and those who survived created lines of ready-to-wear. The chief symbol of course was the jeans worn by men and women of all social classes and at any time, a sort of synthesis of all the ideals of equality and freedom spread fervently for two decades. Miss Sixty has some of the well-selected "historians" who have contributed to a shift in trends from the late '60s, always keeping the focus on the key elements of a dress that is anything but empty of content and femininity: the many innovations and experiments, in which stand out the mix of paintings and vintage denim washes characterized by shades that create a special effect lines, building models and denim jacket with gold buttons and contrast stitching. Obviously there are plenty of accessories, also made of denim: a game style that wins, in harmony with the natural look and a bit 'hippy, very Seventies, both in color and of the materials.
