La moda racconta la storia: il lusso tra innovazione e tradizione.

Nella prestigiosa cornice dell’Hotel Bernini Bristol, il 7 Luglio ha avuto luogo la tappa finale dell’evento “La moda racconta la storia”, organizzato da Accademia del Lusso di Roma in occasione delle celebrazioni per il centocinquantesimo dell’Unità d’Italia. In effetti la location scelta per l’occasione non è per niente casuale: il palazzo che si affaccia su piazza Barberini infatti, fu aperto durante la presa di Roma nel 1870, episodio del Risorgimento che sancì l’annessione di Roma al Regno d’Italia. La manifestazione, inserita negli eventi collaterali della settimana della moda per AltaRoma- AltaModa, ha presentato una giornata ricca e varia, attraverso workshops e seminari, per concludere in bellezza con una sfilata, frutto del lavoro compiuto dagli studenti delle sedi di Milano, Treviso, Palermo e Roma. I quarantanove abiti scelti riflettono alla perfezione lo spirito dell’evento, della moda come espressione artistica, come forma di linguaggio che vuole celebrare alla pari di tutte le altre arti la grandezza del proprio paese attraverso i secoli, dall’ Unità che ci ha reso partecipi della stessa sorte, nel bene e nel male. Tutto è nato da una scommessa, da un’idea maturata tra le aule dell’Accademia del Lusso, con l’obiettivo di omaggiare anche il primo lustro di vita della scuola di moda: ciò che viene sottolineato dalle parole ma ancora di più dai modelli che hanno sfilato è celebrare quella parte d’Italia che vuole guardare avanti, che non si arrende, che spende la propria creatività alla ricerca dell’innovazione, per aprire uno spiraglio di futuro senza mai dimenticare le tappe storiche che ne hanno permesso il raggiungimento. Tutto ciò è espresso attraverso evocazioni esplicite e non, come il tricolore, sia negli abiti che negli accessori, le foglie d’alloro “dantesche” come parte integrante del modello, il richiamo alle camicie garibaldine, sia in rosso che nella variante candida, ma anche attraverso linee che ricalcano la modernità dei nostri giorni: tagli lineari, in cui l’utilizzo del bianco viene molto apprezzato, così come quello del bicolor, ovviamente affiancando il bianco sia al verde che al rosso. Ma la varietà dei modelli non finisce qui: tripudi di pizzi e merletti, maniche a palloncino, camicioni dal taglio “masculin” interpretati con femminilità,  ci riportano direttamente all’Ottocento, mentre gli abiti dai tessuti più leggeri, svolazzanti, e dalle trasparenze che vanno dalle tonalità del viola a quelle del rosa antico, ci ricordano quella parte di moda eterea, espressione di una bellezza quasi universale, che non ha bisogno di ostentare per mostrarsi in tutta la sua eleganza. L’ “aura mediocritas”, la misura d’oro tanto decantata dal celebre Orazio, viene qui portata al livello più alto della sua dimensione artistica, mostrando una donna che viene valorizzata dal proprio abbigliamento e non viceversa, una donna radicata nella storia e cresciuta attraverso di essa, nel proprio ruolo sociale come nella propria libertà. Esattamente la stessa libertà che si oppone all’egoismo soggettivo, alla politica che non è politica ma tirannide, all’individualismo fine a se stesso: una libertà che delinea le sorti di un paese, che si nutre di intraprendenza senza rinunciare mai alla propria identità costruita nel tempo, tracciando i segni della contemporaneità attraverso i simboli che evocano il passato.

In the prestigious setting of the Hotel Bernini Bristol, July 7 took place in the final stage of the event "Fashion tells the story", organized by Academy of Luxury in Rome on the occasion of the celebration of the hundred and the Unification of Italy. In fact, the location chosen for the occasion is by no means accidental: the palace overlooking Piazza Barberini, in fact, was open during the fall of Rome in 1870, an episode of the Risorgimento, which sanctioned the annexation of Rome to the Kingdom of Italy . The event, inserted in the side events of the week's fashion-AltaRoma AltaModa, presented a rich and varied day, through workshops and seminars, to finish in style with a fashion show, the result of work done by students of the Milan, Treviso, Palermo and Rome. The forty-nine suits chosen reflect perfectly the spirit of the event, as an artistic expression of fashion as a form of language we want to celebrate like all other arts the greatness of their country through the centuries, from the 'unit that has made us partakers the same fate, for better or for worse. Everything was born from a bet, an idea gained from the classrooms of the Academy of luxury, with the goal of honor also the first five years of school life in fashion: what is emphasized by the words but even more models who marched to celebrate is that part of Italy that wants to look ahead, who does not surrender, they spend their creativity in the pursuit of innovation, to open a window of the future without ever forgetting the historical steps that have allowed the achievement. All this is expressed through explicit evocations and not, as the tricolor, both in clothes and accessories, the bay leaves "Dante" as part of the model, the reference to the shirts of Garibaldi, which is in red in the white version, but through lines which reflect the modernity of our times: linear cuts, where the use of white is much appreciated, as well as that of two-tone, of course, alongside the white and the green to red. But the variety of models does not end here: riot of lace, puff sleeves, shirts cut "masculin" interpreted with femininity, we report directly to the nineteenth century, while the clothes from lighter fabrics, loose, and transparencies ranging from shades of purple to those of old rose, remind us that part of fashion ethereal, almost universal expression of beauty, which does not need to show off for appearing in all its elegance. "Mediocritas aura", the measure of gold much vaunted by the famous Horace, is here brought to the highest level of its artistic dimension, showing a woman being exploited by their clothing and not vice versa, a woman rooted in history and raised through it, in their social role as in freedom.Exactly the same freedom that is opposed to selfishness subjective, that is not policy but political tyranny, individualism end in itself: a freedom that outlines the fate of a country that thrives on initiative without giving up their identity built up over time, tracing the signs of modernity through the symbols that evoke the past.
